UK’S BIGGEST STUDENT FESTIVAL BEACH BREAK LIVE EARLY BIRD TICKETS ONSALE JANUARY 18th
16th – 20th June
Pembrey Country Park, South Wales

Following a ruddy spectacular sell out 2010 event, the UK’s biggest student festival Beach Break Live is back.  On Tuesday 18th Jan, they will be releasing 500 Early Bird tickets into the wild for a mere £84!

Last year saw thousands of students flock to the stunning shores of Pembrey Country Park in South Wales for four sandy days and starry nights of cutting edge music, sun basking and memory making.

Now entering its 5th year, Beach Break will play host to a whopping 20,000 students and promises to be “the year of the spectacular”. For the first time, the festival will be held over a weekend which will allow more graduates to unite old clans and relive their student days in true Beach Break fashion!

Previous BBL acts have included the likes of grime don Dizzee Rascal, ethereal pop starlet Ellie Goulding, afro-beat preppy boys Vampire Weekend, prince of pop Calvin Harris and a club sapping DJ line up that makes Fabric look thread bare. The acts for 2011 look set to raise the (beach) bar even higher to deliver the best BBL party ever! Watch this space.

The killer line up is not the only jewel in BBL’s sandy crown. Boasting the most beautiful festival site in the UK, the BBL experience comes complete with 4 miles of pristine silky white sand, a dry ski slope (which they cover in snow, of course!), horse riding, a toboggan run and loads more!

Set against the back drop of this stunning sea view location, you will also find all manner of beachside merry making. From parkour to volleyball and vintage fairground rides to surfing lessons – what more could you ask for?

Last year, Early Bird tickets sold out in record time causing the Beach Break server to crash. With last years sun drenched success fresh in their minds and the latest snap of arctic weather,  it’s a safe bet that these birdies will be migrating at a record speed, so get yours early to avoid disappointment!

A limited number of Early Bird tickets can be purchased from the Beach Break Live website on 18th Jan from 12.00pm for just £84 (non student Early Birds £104) and will then be on sale at the full price of £99 for students and £119 for non-students.

Rob da Bank’s Sunday Best Recordings Vol.2 hits iTunes this month with a selection of artists from their back catalogue plus an exclusive track all for just £4.49!

There’s some hot-off-the-press bits like ‘Paganini Rocks’  by Robortom (AKA Rob da Bank & Tom Middleton) feat. Au Revoir Simone, ‘Fingers On The Button’ by David E. Sugar plus the first offering from David’s new side project Wish and the incredible ‘Pater One’. dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip appear twice with album beaut ‘Snob’ and the dubstep-dancefloor-destroyer that is the Doctor P remix of ‘Sick Tonight’. Dub Pistols and Rodney P rolled up a fat one earlier this year with ‘Ganja’ but this skanking NICE UP refix is exclusive to this comp. 2010’s delights also featured include ‘Something New’ by the Faroe Islands’ The Ghost and ‘Hacienda’ by the mysterious Trenchman.

But ignore at your peril the gems from previous years featured here. The mighty Hot Chip pop up with their remix of Max Sedgley’s ‘Slowly’, Ed Banger’s Vicarious Bliss created one of our favourite ever remixes for Daisy Daisy’s ‘Michelle Plays Ping Pong’ (check how it builds into a low slung bass monster!), the Frisvold & Lindbæk remix of Lemonade’s ‘Bliss Out’ is just sublime and Fear of Theydon’s collaboration with The Mount Cherries shows why his debut album for us in 2011 is one to keep a watchful eye out for. Oh and it all ends with one of our favourite cuts from the Lucky Elephant album. Watch out for new material from them in 2011 too.
